FOREST FIRE PREVENTION SOLUTION
The “Monitore” solution prevents, detects and fights forest fires at a low cost and using state-of-the-art technology: IoT, photovoltaic panel, mesh network (the main idea of this network is the possibility of transmitting messages from one node to another by different paths) , sensors (CO², temperature and humidity), machine learning and business intelligence.The entire project is patentable (hardware, firmware and software) and registration has been filed with the INPI of Portugal. After some pilots and 2.5 years of R&D, we created our own circuit, that is, we designed the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) in order to optimize battery consumption and reduce the final cost of the equipment.
Finally, with regard to combat, by monitoring the weather conditions and the concentration of carbon dioxide, in real time, the system alerts on risk scenarios and/or triggers commands to effectively fight the fire, with the application of long-term retardant.
